The Airshow Bangalore 2023
The much anticipated Aero India 2023 starts on February 13 th 2023. The 14th edition of the aero show will take place from February 13–17 at the Air Force Station in Yelahanka, Bengaluru.
Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi would inaugurate the biannual airshow. Aero India, a renowned aerospace expo, has hosted 13 iterations in Bengaluru since 1996.
Aero India 2023
An aerial show by the IAF includes a five-day event, including an important trade fair of the aerospace and defence sectors. The exhibition will also feature involvement from international think tanks and participation from influential aerospace investors and world leaders.
An outstanding opportunity for the sharing of knowledge, concepts, and cutting-edge advances in the aviation sector will get presented by Aero India. It will support the goal of Make in India in addition to extending the local aviation sector.
The number of participants is 737 exhibitors. According to the Aero India website, 737 exhibitors have signed up to participate in the five-day event. Moreover, of the 737 exhibitors, 643 are from India, and 94 are from 30 other nations. The Delegates and exhibitors from more than 55 nations were previously assembled in 2021.

Ticket prices for Aero India 2023
Three different types of tourist tickets offered.
- Air display viewing area (ADVA),
- General visitors.
- Business visitor tickets.
The specifications of the tickets offered
- A single day and admission are permitted with the General and ADVA tickets. The Business ones, however, are acceptable for numerous entries on a single day.
- For Exhibition and ADVA, general admission tickets cost Rs 2500 for Indian citizens and $50 for foreigners.
- The ticket cost for an ADVA guest is Rs. 1000 for Indian citizens and $50 for foreigners.
- The cost of the business visitor ticket is $150 for foreign nationals and Rs 5,000 for Indian citizens. GST included in the prices for all pass categories.
Earlier on 9 January, Defense Minister Ranjith Singh had briefed foreign envoys about Aero India 2023. While addressing the ambassadors’ round table conference at Aero India 2023, Singh said he was hopeful that the meeting would surpass the benchmark set in the previous edition.
Regarding the last Aero event, he stated that it had an unprecedented level of attendance, with over 600 exhibitors physically present and another 108 online, 63 countries, and over 3000 business-to-business meetings.
According to Singh, Aero India is a top international aviation trade event that gives our aviation and defence industries, especially the aerospace industry, a chance to present its goods, services, and solutions to national decision-makers, according to ANI.
He mentioned that India has been seeking to improve its defense manufacturing skills, notably in the newly developing fields of drones, cyber technology, AI, radars, and other equipment.

Exhibitors of the Aero India 2023
Aero India, in its website, stated that a total of 731 exhibitors have registered, of which 633 are Indian and 98 are foreign. Earlier in 2021, delegates from over 55 countries and more than 540 exhibitors participated.
US defence major Lockheed Martin will showcase its F-21 fighter jet, S-92 multi-role helicopter, MH-60R Romeo multi-mission chopper and anti-tank weapon Javelin, among others, at the upcoming Aero-India exhibition in Bengaluru, as reported by PTI.
Almost all leading aerospace companies worldwide are expected to attend the event at Air Force Station, Yelahanka, in a total area of around 35,000 sq metres. Lockheed Martin has been pitching its F-21 aircraft as the best option in the Indian Air Force’s hunt for 114 combat jets.
PM Modi would inaugurate the biennial airshow. Being one of the premier aerospace exhibitions, Aero India has held 13 successful editions in Bengaluru since 1996.
The five-day event will combine a major trade exhibition of the aerospace and defense industries and an aerial display by IAF. Besides global leaders and big investors in the aerospace industry, the show will also see participation by think tanks from across the world.
Aero India will provide a unique opportunity to exchange information, ideas and new developments in the aviation industry. In addition to giving a fillip to the domestic aviation industry, it would further the cause of Make in India.
